Hey,
Let’s be real — the tech job hunt is broken.
There are talented students everywhere, yet they’re not getting shortlisted. Meanwhile, random folks with average profiles somehow crack good offers.
So what’s working in 2025?
Here are 3 small things that have helped dozens of people I’ve worked with get real interviews (yes, even without mass applying):
✅ 1. Cold Emails Still Work — But Only If They’re Smart
Forget “Hi sir, please check my resume.” Instead, try this:
“Hey [Name], I came across your profile while researching [Company] and loved your journey from [X] to [Y]. I’m currently building skills in [ABC] and saw a role on your careers page that really excited me…”
Make it relevant. Make it human.
✅ 2. Underrated Startups > Big Brands (At First)
Most students obsess over MAANG or top unicorns. But some of the best hiring is happening at funded B2B startups — think Series A/B SaaS companies.
These companies:
Don’t rely heavily on resumes
Care more about intent
Often reply on LinkedIn or email
✅ 3. Referrals Aren’t Just About “Knowing Someone”
I’ve seen students get referred without any internal connection just by:
Sending thoughtful messages
Highlighting past work/projects
Respectfully following up in 4–5 days
Referrals are more about “how you reach out” than “who you know.”
That’s all for today. No fluff. Just what’s working.
If this helped, reply and tell me which one you’ll try first — or just ask me anything you're stuck with.
And hey…
Want to skip the queue and access handpicked underrated openings, direct referrals, and career hacks that actually work?
👀 Something is coming.
Stay close.
